Dayton’s Brian Gregory remains Georgia Tech’s top choice and will likely replace Paul Hewitt as the Yellow Jackets next coach.
Sources told FOXSports.com that an announcement could come in the next 48 hours.
Gregory, a former Tom Izzo assistant at Michigan State, has spent the past eight years at Dayton – where he’s compiled a 172-94 record.
He led the Flyers to an NCAA appearance in 2004 and also went in 2009. Dayton won the NIT two seasons ago and lost to Charleston in the first round of the NIT this season.
