Herb Sendek did The Dougie.
``It’s true,” Arizona State’s head coach said on Thursday afternoon. ``I did it.”
Sendek doesn’t think there was any video proof, but he’s wrong. I’ve already got my hands on it – and here’s the link:
Sendek said that he was walking into the Tip-Off reception with assistant Lamont Smith, his wife and his two little girls – Olivia (3) and Payton (4).
``They were showing me how to do The Dougie,” Sendek said. ``It was just awesome.”
Then Sendek got up on stage and tried to get the two girls to join them. They were too shy, so then Sendek called one of the women’s basketball players on stage. As you can see, she was too entertained by Sendek to join in.
``I moved for a couple of seconds,” Sendek said. ``I’m pretty good.”
``It’s just too bad there was no video,” he added. ``Because it was a one-time deal. One shot.”
