Billy Gillispie is already getting it done in Lubbock.

The new Texas Tech coach – according to multiple sources - has pulled Villanova assistant Chris Walker onto his staff in what is a terrific hire.

Walker will become Gillispie’s associate head coach and, according to sources, will make an assistant salary in the range of Kansas State’s Dalonte Hill and former Florida associate Larry Shyatt.

Walker is a Texas native who has a long-standing relationship with Gillispie.
