Sources: Louisiana Tech on Verge of Hiring Ole Miss Assistant
According to sources close to the situation, Louisiana Tech is on the verge of hiring Ole Miss assistant coach Mike White.
White, 34, is a Louisiana native who played point guard at Ole Miss and joined Andy Kennedy’s coaching staff with the Rebels after a stint at Jacksonville State.
His father is current Duke athletic director Kevin White.
White would replace Kerry Rupp, who was fired after four seasons and a 57-69 overall mark. Louisiana Tech finished last in the WAC this past year.
