Add another one to the list of Oklahoma players to hit the transfer portal.

Per multiple reports, OU junior guard Joe Bamisile has become the latest now former Sooner to begin to his search for a new home.

He becomes the fourth player to enter the portal since the season ended, joining Benny Schroeder, C.J. Noland and Bijan Cortes.

Bamisile, who transferred to Oklahoma from George Washington last offseason, had a very disappointing year with the Sooners after coming to the team as an expected big-impact addition.

Through spotty playing time, the Virginia native averaged just 4.0 points and 2.3 rebounds per game and frequently went through extended stretches where he didn’t see the floor.

At one point, Bamisile didn’t log a single minute of game action for over a month despite being healthy, not appearing in Big 12 action until the Sooners’ eighth conference game.

This process will certainly not be unfamiliar for him, as this will now be the third time Bamisile has had to search for a new team after he started his career with Virginia Tech before moving to George Washington and then to Oklahoma.

With the four transfers and Tanner Groves being out of eligibility, the Sooners now have five open spots from last year’s roster.

Two of those will be filled by incoming freshmen Jacolb Cole and Kaden Cooper with another scholarship having recently been given to Sam Godwin, who was previously a walk-on.

Suffice to say, Porter Moser still has some wiggle room to work with as he looks to add to the roster and try to rebound after a disappointing 15-17 season.
