Tennessee Vols star Dalton Knecht received a cool shoutout on Wednesday night from the biggest name in the NBA.
Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James told reporters that he watched the Purdue vs Tennessee matchup in the Elite Eight this past weekend because of Knecht and Boilermakers center Zach Edey.
"We watched that Purdue/Tennessee game because of Zach Edey and Knecht," said James. "Players, depending on who they are, will drive the attention when it comes to viewership."

The showdown between Edey and Knecht, two candidates to earn national player of the year honors, was certainly as advertised.
Edey scored 40 points in 39 minutes of action while Knecht scored 37 points in 37 minutes.
No one else on Tennessee's roster scored in double figures. And only one Purdue player scored more than 10 points outside of Edey.
