College football fans harshly criticized Oregon head coach Dan Lanning following the Ducks' loss to the Washington Huskies in the Pac-12 Chamber Game on Friday night.

Oregon lost their second matchup against Washington this season, and the three-point loss will keep the Ducks from the playoffs.

Even though Washington won the first matchup in October, Oregon came into Friday night’s game as the favorite. Three points decided each game, as Washington held on to win, 34-31, on Friday night.

Washington took the early lead and looked like they were on their way to a route of Oregon. But Oregon made a comeback in the second half and took the lead in the third quarter. But Washington dominated the fourth quarter to win the game.

College football fans criticized Lanning

Fans criticized Lanning throughout the game. Oregon didn’t look like they were prepared in the first half, as Washington took an early 20-3 lead, and the Huskies should have scored more points had they converted touchdowns on a few drives that ended in field goals.

Lanning’s defense struggled in the fourth quarter. He also made a questionable decision to go for an onside kick with about two minutes left in the game (down three points) with all three timeouts instead of trying to pin Washington deep in their territory.

Here are the best takes of fans commenting on Lanning’s coaching during the Pac-12 Championship Game.
