Five Aggies Invited to NFL Scouting Combine

The Texas A&M Aggies have five players invited to Lucas Oil Stadium for February's 2024 edition.

WR Ainias Smith - Smith played in 50 games for the Aggies from 2019 through 2023 and registered 180 catches for 2,407 yards and 19 touchdowns through the air. On the ground, the 5-10, 190-pounder ran 72 times for another 405 yards and four touchdowns. Smith was consistently one of the best offensive players for the Aggies over the past four seasons.

OL Layden Robinson - Robinson played in 23 games for the Aggies over the past two seasons while helping keep the A&M quarterback off the turf. "I'm grateful and proud to move onto the next chapter of my career & being my pursuit of being selected in the 2024 NFL Draft," the 6-4, 315-pounder posted on X back in December.

DT McKinnley Jackson - Jackson suited up for the Aggies in 37 games over four seasons in College Station and tallied 91 tackles with 42 solo and 15.5 for loss, with 7.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble. The 6-2, 325-pound pass rusher was one of the defensive leaders for the Aggies over the past two seasons, and looked sharp at the Senior Bowl.

LB Edgerrin Cooper - Cooper spent three seasons plus two games in Aggieland and registered 205 total tackles with 111 solo and 30.5 for loss over 37 games. Cooper also tallied two interceptions and eight passes defended to go along with three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

DB Demani Richardson - Richardson played 56 games for the Aggies over five seasons in College Station, and totaled 304 tackles with 199 solo and 15 for loss, along with 3.5 sacks, 19 interceptions, 14 passes defended, and four forced fumbles. The 6-1, 214-pound Waxahachie native was a four-star recruit out of high school.
