The Ducks are continuing to look at their options at wide receiver in the transfer portal as the offseason prepares to kick into high gear.

Oregon is a team to watch for former Texas A&M wide receiver Evan Stewart , according to a report from Pete Nakos of On3 Sports.

Other schools to watch include USC, Tennessee, Ole Miss and Florida State, Nakos reports.

Stewart entered the transfer portal on December 19 after spending two seasons with the Aggies in College Station. During that time, the 6-foot, 175-pound wideout caught 91 passes for 1,163 yards and 6 touchdowns.

He was a five-star (0.9940) recruit coming out of Frisco (Tex.) Liberty High School according to the 247Sports Composite. The same system ranked him the No. 11 player nationally, No. 2 wide receiver and No. 4 recruit in Texas. Stewart was one of eight five-star recruits to sign with Texas A&M as part of the highest-rated recruiting class of all time according to 247Sports.

Junior Adams will be without star receiver Troy Franklin in 2024 and the Ducks have recruited and missed out on a couple of pass catchers in the portal this offseason including Cyrus Allen (Texas A&M) and Zavion Thomas (LSU).

Tez Johnson has yet to make his NFL Draft decision and players like Traeshon Holden, Gary Bryant Jr., Jurrion Dickey and Kyler Kasper project to headline the wide receiver room next year for the Ducks. Oregon also flipped a pair of All-American receivers on national signing day in Ryan Pellum and Jeremiah McClellan.

Stewart is as big a name as you'll find at wide receiver in the transfer portal, and the Oregon staff has strong ties into the Lone Star State. Next we'll have to see if he comes out to Eugene for a visit once the recruiting dead period ends.
