Oklahoma had a huge week in college football knocking off the Texas Longhorns and vaulting itself into the No. 5 ranking. Baker Mayfield, who was on a bye week, appeared on ESPN’s College Gameday as the guest picker and, of course, predicted a Sooners win.

All the while, Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles took care of business and kept on rolling. Hurts is setting himself up for a run at the MVP Trophy and the Eagles look like one of the best teams in the NFL.

Hurts got it done through the air and on the ground, proving once again he’s the best two-way quarterback in the league. Philadelphia’s star signal caller totaled 303 yards, one touchdown and one interception on 25-of-38 passing. He led the team in rushing yards too, adding 15 carries for 72 yards and a score. The Eagles marched into Los Angeles and beat the Rams 23-14 as Hurts out-dueled Matthew Stafford.

The Philadelphia Eagles and Hurts now stand with the 49ers in a category of their own as the NFL’s elite. They are the only two 5-0 teams in the league, and the former Oklahoma quarterback has played a huge part in that success. So far this season, he has 1,262 yards through the air and six touchdowns while completing 67.3% of his passes. On the ground, Hurts has 206 yards and four more touchdowns to his name.

In addition to Hurts and the offense, Oklahoma's former defenders got active on Sunday too. Nobody has had a better stretch than Nik Bonitto lately, and even though Denver couldn't pull out the victory, he dominated once again.

The edge rusher totaled two tackles, two sacks, two tackles for loss, and two quarterback hits. Denver recently traded Randy Gregory so Bonitto could fully shine, and it was clearly a smart move.
