Every once in a while, college football latches onto a viral photo of a player or recruit for how intimidating they look.
Everyone of course remembers the incredibly ripped Shawn Oakman at Baylor, or even more recently Alabama's Kendrick Blackshire looking like an absolute unit back when he was at Duncanville. However, Oakman and Blackshire have been bumped from the top spot of the intimidating rankings, and have been dethroned by 2025 three-star offensive tackle Byron Washington.

Listed at about 6-foot-8, and around 400 pounds, Washington is ranked by 247Sports as a three-star offensive tackle. The Texas Longhorns are looking to add him to their 2025 class to help bolster their line of the future. However, they aren't the only notable program that is after the DeSoto product.
In a recent interview, Washington revealed which schools are in the mix, and where he plans to take trips to.
“Definitely Texas, Oregon, and TCU,” Washington told On3's Sam Spiegelman. “I’ve been developing a good relationship with Florida State lately. Definitely want to get to Texas and Miami, and want to get out there this off-season and enjoy some time with the coaches.”
The Longhorns have completely rebuilt their offensive line over the past few seasons under Kyle Flood, and Washington would surely benefit from the tutelage of one of the best offensive line coaches in the sport. According to 247Sports, the Longhorns are viewed as the favorite to land Washington, as recruiting analyst Jordan Scruggs inserted a crystal ball prediction in favor of Texas back in October.
247Sports has Washington ranked as the No. 686 player in the country, No. 59 offensive tackle, and the No. 93 player in the state of Texas.
