Argylle’s Box Office Numbers Aren’t Good

Argylle is currently underwhelming at the box office.

The Henry Cavill spy movie reportedly boasts a budget of $200 million, but it earned only $35 million in its opening weekend.

While this puts it at number one in the charts, it’s still the lowest-grossing opening for an Apple-financed movie, behind Killers of the Flower Moon ($44 million) and Napoleon ($78.8 million).

A potential saving grace is Apple being able to stream it exclusively on Apple TV+ and bring more subscribers to the platform. That's if you aren't watching the Godzilla channel added to Pluto TV.

In Argylle , Bryce Dallas Howard plays a writer whose spy novel about an agent called Argylle starts playing out for real. It also features Dua Lipa, John Cena, Catherine O'Hara, Sam Rockwell, Ariana DeBose, and Samuel L. Jackson.
