Big-time celebrities you’d never guess had a reality show

Before this two-time Super Bowl champ found love with Taylor Swift, he was searching for love on his dating show, Catching Kelce. 

Even though Ryan Lochte competed in reality shows like Big Brother and The Traitors, he starred in a show of his own in 2012 titled What Would Ryan Lochte Do? 

The legendary twin actors Tia and Tamera Mowry delivered non-stop drama in their reality show of the same name. It ran for three seasons before ending in September 2013. 

TI and Tiny’s family reality show first hit the air in 2011 and followed the rapper’s life with his wife and children after his 12-month prison sentence. The Family Hustle was so loved by viewers it ran for six seasons, producing 100 episodes. From 2018 to 2020, a spin-off titled Friends & Family Hustle focusing on TI, Tiny, their children, and friends Toya and Wright and LeToya Luckett from Destiny’s Child ran on VH1. 

Before Bravo became the home of the Real Housewives franchise and Below Deck, they had original programming like Being Bobby Brown — a reality show that featured famous R&B singer Bobby Brown and his wife, Whitney Houston. 

What Chilli Wants was a two-season reality show that aired on VH1. It followed the TLC singer searching for Mr. Right alongside a relationship expert while balancing her busy career and needs. 

Brandy and Ray J: A Family Business was another reality series that was underrated during its time on air. It only aired 22 episodes, but they each packed a punch and delivered mouth-watering drama. 

Yes, you can watch Ice T in more than just Law & Order. The rapper’s reality show, Ice Loves Coco, was a popular series on E! during its first two seasons; however, Season 3 saw a decline in viewers, leading to its cancellation in 2013. 

We love Kevin Jonas, but not his stint on reality television. His family show's two-season stint on E! was cute, but the show’s lack of conflict and exciting characters failed to keep watchers engaged. 

Jessica Simpson’s reality show, Newlyweds, followed her and then-husband Nick Lachey’s marriage for three seasons from 2003 until the couple’s divorce in 2005. 

If you read Britney’s memoir, The Woman In Me , you’ve heard all about her ex-husband Kevin Federline. In 2005, the couple had a brief stint on reality TV, starring in their UPN-based show, Britney and Kevin: Chaotic — and chaotic it was. 

Terry Bradshaw, a four-time Super Bowl champion, gave reality TV a try from 2020 to 2022 when he starred alongside his family in their lighthearted series, The Bradshaw Bunch. 

Ashlee’s reality show is another MTV original that aired in the early 2000s. It focused primarily on the establishment of her career, the launch of her album, and life after the record’s success. 

The gospel music duo Mary Mary shocked the world when they let cameras in to film their family’s messy relationship dynamics. It ended after six seasons of unbelievable storylines and staggering blowups. 

My Crazy Beautiful Life was Kesha’s MTV reality series that showcased the singer’s busy and drama-filled life while creating and promoting her album, Warrior, and her first concert tour, Get Sleazy. 

This Mean Girls alum has starred in a few reality shows, including an OWN original, Lindsay, in 2014 and an MTV production, Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club, in 2019.

In 2017, basketball stars LaMelo, LiAngelo, and Lonzo starred in their family’s Facebook Watch reality series, Ball in the Family. Despite the show’s untraditional format, it received positive feedback from watchers, leading to six seasons and 116 episodes.  

In addition to her Keeping Up with the Kardashians appearances, Lala Anthony (ex-wife of NBA star Carmelo Anthony) starred in her self-titled series on VH1 from 2011 to 2014. In June 2021, Lala filed for divorce from Carmelo, citing that their marriage was “really hard.” 

Eric Decker is in good company, having reality shows on E! alongside Travis Kelce and Ryan Lochte. And like theirs, we were tuned in every week until its cancellation in 2017.
