CinemaCon 2024 is in full gear in Las Vegas, seeing panels from Warner Bros., Lionsgate, Universal, and other major studios this week. The main attractions thus far included Paramount and Disney. Of course, no Disney panel would be complete without a mention of Marvel Studios.

President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, came out on stage to address the press in attendance. Among the biggest draws this year for the superhero studio were the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine, Captain America: Brave New World, and Thunderbolts*.

One of the more intriguing aspects of Marvel Studios’ presentation was the official confirmation of titles for The Fantastic Four and Thunderbolts* as well as official logos. Feige hinted that the asterisk would make sense once audiences had a chance to see the movie, which suggests the Thunderbolts might not be the lasting moniker for the team.

Additionally, the CinemaCon crowd was greeted by a video on stage from the star of the upcoming Thunderbolts* project Florence Pugh, who recently gave fans a visit from director Jake Schrier‘s set. The film also stars Sebastian Stan, Hannah Hohn-Kamen, Olga Kurylenko, Wyatt Russell, David Harbour, and Harrison Ford, and is set to release on May 5, 2025.

Marvel Studios also provided a look at Captain America: Brave New World, which stars Anthony Mackie as he reprises his role of Captain America from Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Harrison Ford as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, the role of the late William Hurt.

In addition to a new logo, Marvel shared a clip from the sequel that sees Captain America meeting up with President Thunderbolt Ross, who is looking to rebuild the Avengers. Ford’s Ross chides “You’re not Steve Rogers,” to which Mackie responds, “You’re right. I’m not.” The clip also features Carl Lumbly‘s Isaiah Bradley, who is “triggered” into trying to assassinate the president at the White House.

People in attendance at CinemaCon and Feige have likened the sequel’s tone to one of the MCU’s most popular entries, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. Feige described the flick on-stage as “another fast-paced, relatively grounded action thriller” and added that there wouldn’t be any aliens.

Captain America: Brave New World was originally intended to be released in 2024 but was pushed back due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes that rocked Hollywood last year. The film will now be in theaters on February 14, 2025.

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Causes Kevin Feige To Drop an F-Bomb

The centerpiece of Marvel’s CinemaCon panel was footage from the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine, which is the next movie scheduled to be released by Feige and co. This segment hit the gas immediately, as it was claimed that the Deadpool 3 popcorn bucket would rival that of Dune: Part Two and that it would be beyond “crude and lewd.” Kevin Feige also hyped up the crowd with some words of his own: “It’s f-----awesome.”

Knowing that they were off to a great start, the studio played nine minutes of footage from the upcoming threequel, which included Wade Wilson saying things like, “Cocaine is the one thing Feige said is off limits!” and “Friends don’t let friends leave the house looking like they play for the Los Angeles Rams.”

The footage also contained Chris Hemsworth‘s Thor crying over a deceased Deadpool variant, as well as the TVA, which debuted in the Disney+ series Loki. This is where Matthew Macfadyen‘s (Succession) Agent Paradox recruits Wade Wilson to help save the MCU’s timeline, to which he responds, “Suck it FOX, we’re going to Disneyland.”

Deadpool & Wolverine stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman , as well as Emma Corrin , Brianna Hildebrand, Rob Delaney, Morena Baccarin, Karan Soni, Shioli Kutsuna, Aaron Stanford, Lewis Tan, and Stefan Kapicic and hits theaters on July 26, 2024.
