RUMOR: Henry Cavill Will Cameo in Deadpool and Wolverine

Henry Cavill will appear in Deadpool and Wolverine, rumors suggest.

The ex-Superman actor isn’t reprising his role as the Man of Steel, however. That would cause all manner of legal nightmares between Marvel and DC.

Instead, Cavill is reportedly cameoing as a Wolverine variant from another dimension. That might have sounded far-fetched a few years ago, but given we’ve seen franchise-crossing appearances from the likes Patrick Stewart’s Professor X in Doctor Stranger and the Multiverse of Madness , and Kelsey Grammer’s Beast in The Marvels, that sounds about right.

The news comes from film scooper @CanWeGetToast, who tweets: “I can confirm that Henry Cavill will in fact play a Wolverine variant in ‘DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE’. Fans will be very pleased with his appearance.”

Vinnie Jones was also asked to cameo in Deadpool and Wolverine but said they "couldn't strike the deal."

And that’s not the only Deadpool and Wolverine news, because X-Men’s Cyclops might also feature. That’s according to cryptic comments by Cyclops actor James Marsden who told The Playlist, "We were near the Deadpool stages up there in Pinewood [while filming Sonic 3]. Yeah...this is a little bit of a Pandora's box."

That Pandora’s Box is set to open on 26 July, 2024 when Deadpool and Wolverine releases in cinemas - and potentially brings Henry Cavill and James Marsden along with it.
