This Is Us' sixth and final season is fast approaching, and Sterling K. Brown is making his next movie.
The 45-year-old actor will star in Coyote Blue, a forthcoming action film penned by screenwriter Derek Kolstad (John Wick, Nobody), according to Variety.
"The story revolves around an everyman (Brown) who’s hunted by a ruthless criminal syndicate for his mysterious cargo, and now must navigate the treacherous terrain of Route 66 while unleashing his lethal set of skills in a fight for survival," the outlet added.
Brown has starred as Randall Pearson in This Is Us since the acclaimed and equally beloved primetime drama premiered on NBC in 2016. He has earned five Primetime Emmy nominations for the role, winning twice.
The Pearsons are heading to the #Emmys.

Created by Dan Fogelman, This Is Us has chronicled the Pearson family across several generations. Randall is the adopted triplet of Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Kevin (Justin Hartley) and son of Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) and Rebecca (Mandy Moore).
It was always Fogelman's plan for the series to run six seasons, and that was officially confirmed to be the case in May. Brown spoke about the ending soon afterward:
Brown's attachment to Coyote Blue comes just over two months after Deadline exclusively reported his casting alongside Regina Hall in Honk for Jesus, Save Your Soul.
