Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown has made his fans in Canada proud with his play in the NFL two weeks in a row.

After a 61-yard rushing day in their Monday night victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, Brown follows it up with a better performance in Cincinnati’s 31-14 win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

Brown made the biggest play of the game in the first quarter as he caught a screen pass from quarterback Jake Browning and took 54 yards for a touchdown. It was the first time in the rookie’s young NFL career that he scored a touchdown.

The final stat line for Brown in the game was eight carries for 25 yards with a long of 10 yards. He was the team’s leader in catches (three), receiving yards (80) and touchdowns (one).

Canada knows Brown well as he was born in the country being from London, Ontario. While playing at Illinois, he won the Jon Cornish Trophy last year for being the best Canadian player in the NCAA, rushing for 1,643 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2022.

He entered the CFL Draft as the second-best prospect in the draft. Knowing that he was drafted in the 2023 NFL Draft, Brown wasn’t picked in the CFL Draft this year until the seventh round with the Montreal Alouettes owning his rights.

Should he continue to play at a high level in the NFL, Brown could find himself playing in the USA for a long time.
