Nearly the entire football world can agree that Caleb Williams is deserving of the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. The USC star, who won the 2022 Heisman Trophy, has long been considered the best quarterback -- and player -- in the draft class.

One of the largest personalities in college football, though, doesn't quite agree the Chicago Bears should draft Williams. The Bears recently traded Justin Fields, their starting quarterback, in a move that makes way for Williams to take over under center.

Deion Sanders, Colorado's head football coach, believes the Bears should pass on Williams. His reasoning behind his statement is the question as to whether Williams can perform well in cold weather.

“Let me tell you something that I have a problem with, and this kid can flat-out play, I think he’s the best one on the board this year for sure. A kid that’s coming from California for the last couple years, right? And went to Oklahoma. That’s not terribly cold," Sanders said, via Pro Football Talk. "Chicago’s cold, man. You gotta think about that kind of stuff when you’re taking a young man. Like see, when you take a guy from Ohio State and you bring him to Chicago, OK, I could understand that. But from California to Chicago? Not only that, they added what? One or two more games in the NFL. Seventeen games. Come on, man. You gotta factor in that stuff. That stuff matters."

Pre-draft, there was some buzz around the idea that Williams didn't want to be drafted to Chicago, though he denied those rumors. As things stand now, the Bears will be drafting Williams, one of the most talented draft prospects, to lead the franchise moving forward.
