'God Bless the USA' Bible - Trump and Greenwood Unite
USA TODAY Sports

"Make America Pray Again" might be the first of many steps to truly "Make American Great Again." Former President Donald Trump coined the phrase and is now doing his part to bring Americans to their knees in prayer.

Lee Greenwood united the nation with his 1984 song 'God Bless the USA.' His patriotic tune continues to bring tears to the eyes of the people who love this nation at events all across the United States.

Now, pair Greenwood's song lyrics and Trump's love of this country along with their shared admiration for God and you have the 'God Bless the USA' bible.

In an announcement on Trump's new social media platform, Truth Social, the former president stated that he was proud to be partnering with his "very good friend Lee Greenwood" and encouraged supporters to buy a copy of the Bible.

Greenwood tried to promote the Bible back in 2021, but couldn't get it off the ground after having some issues with publishing.  The singer-songwriter born in 1942, Greenwood has been in the Country music industry since 1962.  He has released more than 20 major-label albums and has charted more than 35 singles on the Billboard country music charts.

Within the covers of the God Bless the USA Bible, readers will find a King James Version of the Bible text, along with the Bill of Rights, the United States Constitution, Declaration of Independence, Pledge of Allegiance and the chorus of "God Bless the USA" hit song.

Former President Trump said in his video, "All Americans need a Bible in their home, and I have many.  It's my favorite book.  It's a lot of people's favorite book; this Bible is a reminder that the biggest thing we have to bring back America and to make America great again is our religion.

"I think you all should get a copy of 'God Bless the USA Bible' now and help spread our Christian values with others."

In an interview with Bart Herbison of Nashville Songwriters Association International, Greenwood shared about his signature song.

"I'm a conservative Christian, and even though most people recognize the song who may not be Christian, or just don't know how to sing the whole song, “I’m Proud to Be an American” is the title. I’ll go with that, and as far as on the sheet music MCA has listed, after pressure for many years, “God Bless the U.S.A.” (with the) subtitle “I’m Proud to Be an American.

"I’m O.K. with that. The reason I wrote that line was not just because my father served in World War II, and survived it by the way, but I hadn’t heard for many, many years that people were proud of their heritage. My heritage is American. Sure, I’m German, English, Irish, Scottish, but I was born in the United States of America and this is my heritage, American…So, when I said “I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free,” I know that resonated with every American who has lost a son or daughter in conflict combat, and maybe just the strife of how we exist here in America. There’s no other country like this that’s free like we are."

Greenwood has been allies with Trump and the Republican Party for years.  His love of country is undisputed.  This business venture has been a rocky one with many changes of course along the way.  He has had publishers agree to publish and then reverse their decision due to separation of church and state. Then there have been business partners drop out.

Greenwood has finally secured a publisher and a marketing partner in the former President Trump to move the production and sale of the Bible forward.
