You won’t see many body shots as devastating as the one Luis Elías landed on Francisco Ramirez at Ultimate Warrior Challenge 51 last weekend.

Few countries boast a regional scene as loaded with exciting promotions as Mexico, and along with organizations like Budo Sento Championship and Lux Fight League fight fans have come to respect UWC as a top proving ground for up-and-coming talent.

One of the most promising fighters on the rise in UWC is the 31-year-old Elías and the Peruvian added yet another finish to his unbeaten pro record at UWC 51 when he folded his opponent with a brutal body kick less than two minutes into their bout.

Ramirez entered the night following back-to-back wins and had only been stopped once in his career, but “Canelo” was forced to the mat as soon as Elías’ kick connected with his midsection.

The nasty finish was the second time that Elías has finished an opponent with a body shot after he did the same to Martin Reyes in his pro debut, and the Peruvian has managed to end every single one of his fights inside the distance dating back to his lone amateur bout in 2021.

Elías will almost certainly attract the attention of some larger promotions if he continues running through opponents, and the night before his big win in Tijuana the UFC was also in Mexico City for the first time since 2019 with a Fight Night headlined by a flyweight rematch between Brandon Moreno and Brandon Royval.
