This week, former Philadelphia 76ers All-Star Andre Iguodala announced his retirement after 19 seasons in the NBA. Among the many people to congratulate him was one of the franchise's biggest superstars.

While most might remember Iguodala for his role in the Golden State Warriors dynasty, Philly is where his journey began. After being drafted ninth overall in 2004, the 6-foot-6 forward emerged as a star-level talent.

Upon the news of his playing career coming to an end, Allen Iverson took to social media to show his love to Iguodala. He posted an array of their best highlights together, along with a heartfelt message. Iverson capped the post off by stating Iguodala is on his way to the Hall of Fame.

"Congratulations lil bro!," Iverson wrote. "So proud of you. Anybody thats ever been around you knows how brilliant you are, so after retirement I know you'll do great things. Hoop wise next stop Hall of Fame!"

Iverson and Iguodala spent two and a half seasons together from 2004 to 2007 before the former MVP was traded to the Denver Nuggets.

Ironically enough, Iguodala was also traded to Denver to end his Sixers tenure. After eight seasons with the franchise, he was shipped to the Nuggets in the mega-deal that landed Philly Andrew Bynum.

Overall, Iguodala played in 615 games as a member of the Sixers. In that span, he averaged 15.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.7 steals. His lone All-Star nomination came as a member of the Sixers during the 2011-2012 season.

Following his time in Philly, Iguodala went on to become a multi-time champion and Finals MVP as a member of the Golden State Warriors.
