Strap in for a HUGE football weekend

If you need to spend quality time with your family or have a honey-do list that you've been procrastinating, make sure you take care of all of that today and tonight. Saturday is one of the most jam-packed and anticipated college football slates in years, and then it's NFL Week 3 on Sunday.

We've got a pair of plays that should make for some fun viewing experiences, plus ideally pad the pockets.

This weekend is going to be a blast, bet accordingly

Two Heisman hopefuls mean plenty of points

In the Pac-12's last year as the conference we all know, the teams are all showing out. This Colorado vs. Oregon game in particular is sure to be one of the most highly-viewed games of the weekend, as the Deion Sanders hype train ain't slowing down.

Opposite Shedeur Sanders and the No. 19 Buffaloes is one of the Heisman favorites, Bo Nix, quarterbacking the No. 10 Oregon Ducks.

Oregon has scored 81, 38 and 55 through three weeks, and this Colorado defense has allowed 35+ points twice in three tries. The loss of Travis Hunter might end up affecting the defense even more, and the Ducks feel like a safe bet to hit 40+ points.

Don't sleep on Colorado's ability to push the pace though. Yes, they're 21-point underdogs, but they've shown to be for real, and Sanders and this offense are just so explosive. They're averaging 41.3 points per game this season and should have chances.

Let's just enjoy the show, man.

Betting: Over 70.5 points in Colorado vs. Oregon (-110 DraftKings)

Time for Justin Jefferson to have an afternoon

This Chargers secondary is once again a glaring weakness, which sometimes doesn't make sense when you consider the players they've got.

Through two weeks, Los Angeles has allowed 11 passes of 20+ yards, the second-highest total in the league, and their yards/pass attempt number sits at 9.7, by far the highest in the NFL.

Who better to take advantage of this vulnerable secondary than Justin Jefferson? The Vikings star has finished his first two games with 150 and 159 yards.

Last week, Treylon Burks broke off a massive catch against this secondary, and Week 1 saw Tyreek Hill finish with 215 yards.

There's no reason to think Jefferson can't pile up another huge outing, and the Chargers also allow a lot of touchdowns to wide receivers.

Betting: Justin Jefferson 125+ receiving yards & TD (+355 DraftKings)

In the news ...

Dallas star CB Trevon Diggs tears ACL — Cowboys All-Pro corner Trevon Diggs suffered an ACL tear in practice on Thursday, ending his season. This is a devastating blow for Dallas, who looked to have one of the NFL's best defenses through two weeks. The Cowboys will have to move forward without one of their most electrifying playmakers, shining a light even more onto Defensive Player of the Year favorite Micah Parsons. Parsons has 3.0 sacks already this year to go along with 12 QB pressures. If the Dallas defense remains a strength and Parsons keeps piling up numbers, he seems like a shoo-in for DPOY. He is currently the favorite at +200. Dallas' Super Bowl odds didn't take much of a hit, still at +750.

Saturday's college football slate is looking simply superb — We've got six college football matchups tomorrow between two ranked teams, making Saturday one of the more loaded days we can remember in years. The 3:30 p.m. ET window would seem to suggest you need to get another TV in rotation. No. 19 Colorado vs. No. 10 Oregon, No. 22 UCLA vs. No. 11 Utah and No. 15 Ole Miss vs. No. 13 Alabama all kick off right in the middle of the day. At night, we'll see No. 14 Oregon State vs. No. 21 Washington State and No. 24 Iowa vs. No. 7 Penn State, but the headlining game of the weekend is No. 6 Ohio State vs. No. 9 Notre Dame. Holy moly, this is going to be fun, and we break down the excitement right here thanks to YB's Eric Smithling.

Blazers would like to finalize Damian Lillard trade in next two weeks — Keep an eye out for a massive NBA domino falling. It's been over two months since Portland star Damian Lillard requested a trade, and the latest reports suggest the Trail Blazers would like to have a deal completed by the start of camp on Oct. 2. While Lillard requested a trade to only Miami, that might not be realistic given the assets the Heat have. Other teams expected to be in the running include Chicago, Toronto and Philadelphia. It still feels likely that Lillard will land in Miami. The Heat are currently +900 to win the title next year, the fifth-best odds in the league.
