6x PGA Tour winner Max Homa joins Tiger Woods’ Jupiter Links GC for inaugural TGL season

On Monday, six-time PGA Tour winner Max Homa officially joined Tiger Woods ‘ team. He will now compete alongside the golf veteran while representing the Jupiter Links GC at the inaugural TGL season in 2025.

The TGL founded by Woods and Rory McIlroy, was supposed to start in January 2024. However, the venue in Palm Beach Florida where the league was planned to take place, suffered some serious damage as the roof collapsed. This led to the start to this new innovative league being delayed until 2025.

While this did came as a massive setback to the plans of Woods and McIlroy, it did give them some time to get more members on the board. In February, the Los Angeles Golf Club (LAGC) landed English golfer Tommy Fleetwood as their final member.

Max Homa is now the latest big name who will take part in this indoor tech-based league. Apart from him, multiple time PGA Tour winners, Tom Kim and Kevin Kisner will join the team as well. Homa though will be the highest-ranked player of the team with Woods currently ranked at 788th in the OWGR rankings due to his few appearances over the years.

In the statement released by the team, Homa expressed his pleasure in getting a chance to work with Tiger Woods after watching him for so many years.

Following Tiger’s career is one of the main reasons that I became an avid golfer. I remember watching him win the 1997 Masters, and now getting to play alongside him has been amazing.

After finalizing the roster for the Jupiter Links GC, Tiger Woods expressed confidence in the team ahead of the TGL. The part-owner of the team, previously shared his excitement for the league and it’s product. He has now shown the same enthusiasm for this newly formed golf club.

The 82-time PGA Tour winner now believes that this team will be able to proudly represent the Jupiter area and connect with the fans.

I have already shared my excitement and optimism for TGL as a league and product. Now that we have finalized our roster with a team of world-class golfers, I am even more confident that this group will proudly represent the Jupiter area and connect with our fans for years to come.

This announcement comes after three of the four members of this team competed in The Masters tournament. While Woods scripted a historic record of 24 consecutive cuts at the event, Tom Kim and Max Homa finished T30 and T3 respectively. Fans are now eager to see how this golfers perform as a team in the inaugural season of the TGL.
