Former Dodgers RHP Noah Syndergaard Drawing Interest From Multiple Teams
USA TODAY Sports

One name that most Dodgers fans would love to forget about is Noah Syndergaard. The veteran pitcher spent the first half of the 2023 season with the team, and it was an ugly showing for him.

Syndergaard signed on with LA during the offseason to boost his value around the league, and he believed that the Dodgers were the team to help him do it. LA has had a history of helping reclamation projects turn their careers around, but unfortunately for both sides, it didn't work out.

In 12 appearances with the Dodgers, Syndergaard posted an ERA of 7.16 and was ultimately shut down due to his performance. He was traded away to the Cleveland Guardians at the deadline but didn't fair much better with them.

He posted an ERA of 5.40 over six starts for them before they designated him for assignment. But it seems that the former All-Star level pitcher is drawing some interest from across the league.

MLB insider Robert Murray reported on an episode of Foul Territory that teams may be intrigued enough to bring him in this offseason, and that multiple teams have expressed interest.

Syndergaard was once one of the better pitchers in the game, but he has completely fallen off over the last few seasons. His velocity isn't where it used to be, and it's been hard to watch.

For any teams that do want to bring him in, it would likely be on a minor league contract, with the option to be invited to spring training. Syndergaard would then need to perform well and could make a major league team.

But it also could be buyer beware with him going forward. If the Dodgers couldn't fix his issues, many other teams may be hesitant to take on the risk. But hopefully, he can find his form somewhere, and we can see him take the mound again this coming year.
