The San Francisco Giants will be without All-Star outfielder Joc Pederson for the foreseeable future.
Less than 24 hours after leaving the Giants' matchup against the Chicago Cubs with a head injury, San Francisco placed Pederson on the seven-day concussion injured list Friday evening.

In his first season in San Francisco, Pederson has been a bright spot for the underachieving Giants.
Earlier this month, Pederson earned his second career All-Star nod. He's slashing .242/.319/.492 this season and leads the Giants with 17 home runs. His 43 RBI are second on the club behind infielder Wilmer Flores (53).
The 30-year-old signed a one-year, $6 million free-agent deal with San Francisco last offseason.
The Giants recalled infielder Jason Vosler to fill Pederson's spot on the active roster.
Vosler, 28, batted .268/.344/.518 with four home runs and eight RBI over 19 games with the Giants earlier this season.
