MLB best bets: HR props for Monday 7/17

It's a beautiful Monday night for dingers in MLB. Let's kick off the new week on a strong note with my three favorite HR props for the smaller slate.

Elly De La Cruz (+650 DraftKings)

The weather at Great American Ballpark Monday night is going to be pristine for home runs. The wind will be blowing out to left field, creating a projected 29 percent boost to home runs for the game (Ballpark Pal). Elly De La Cruz hasn't hit a homer in seven straight games, but I don't think his price should ever be this high considering how much raw power he possesses. Give me the +650 all day.

Kerry Carpenter (+450 DK)

If you've been following our home run props this season, you know that Jordan Lyles Day is a holiday around these parts. The Kansas City Royals starter is 1-11 with a 6.42 ERA, and he's given up the seventh-most homers in MLB this season (20). As for someone who could get to Lyles Monday night, let's roll with red-hot Kerry Carpenter. Carpenter has hit three dingers in three games since the All-Star break, and he leads the Detroit Tigers in home runs off right-handed pitching this season. The +450 price looks great here.

Cody Bellinger (+600 DK)

Cody Bellinger tends to hit his home runs in bunches, and he seems to be entering a bunch right now. The Chicago Cubs slugger has hit three homers in three games since the All-Star break. He also leads the team in home runs off left-handed pitching this season, and Washington Nationals lefty MacKenzie Gore has surrendered 14 homers in 18 starts. This is a juicy price on one of the hottest power hitters in the game right now.
