Another 2-1 mark Thursday brings our strikeout prop record to 7-5 on the week. Let's close out another winning week with my three favorite K props for Friday's MLB slate.
Max Scherzer has found his groove of late with seven or more strikeouts in six of his last seven starts and eight of his last 10. The 39-year-old's issue has been giving up too many home runs, but the Washington Nationals have the second-fewest homers against right-handed pitching this season. This is well worth a shot at plus money.
Lucas Giolito is set to make his first start as a member of the Los Angeles Angels, and I have no problem fading him in his debut. The right-hander has gone under this number three times in his last four starts, and he's given up 12 earned runs over that span. Meanwhile, the Toronto Blue Jays have the second-highest batting average in the league since the All-Star break, and they've scored 6.6 runs per game over their last five contests.
Dane Dunning hasn't been much of a swing-and-miss artist of late. The Texas Rangers' starter has recorded 6.82 strikeouts per nine innings over the last month, which is the 11th-worst mark among starters in that span. Now he has to face a San Diego Padres lineup that's struck out 7.0 times per game since the All-Star break, which is the third-best mark in MLB. Take the under.
