It's been a rough season for the New York Yankees, and it may be weighing on manager Aaron Boone.
Early in Wednesday's contest between the Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays, Boone got the boot for arguing balls and strikes, but not before roasting umpire Lance Barrett.
After his ejection, Boone got his money's worth, telling Barrett, "I know you have the biggest zone in the league, you must f------ know it too," among other colorful language.

For Boone, it's his seventh ejection of the year. Meanwhile, Boone may have hit the showers early two games in a row if not for interference from umpire Bill Miller. On Wednesday, Boone barked from the dugout before Miller shut him up.
"You say something? I hope not."

While Boone is still showing some fight, his team is not. After a 6-1 loss on Wednesday, the Yankees have dropped three straight, falling to 76-76. They remain well out of the playoff picture, trailing the Texas Rangers (84-68) and Seattle Mariners (84-68) by eight games for the third and final wild-card spot in the American League.
