Zac Gallen Praises Diamondbacks Front Office for Offseason Moves
Matt Kartozian-USA TODAY Sports

After reaching the World Series as a Wild Card team, the ‘low market’ Arizona Diamondbacks faced two choices this offseason. They could either trust the existing roster, stay quiet, and make trades before the deadline if necessary. Alternatively, they could capitalize on the gained momentum, invest some money, and construct a roster capable of reaching the World Series for a second consecutive year.

They opted for the latter.

Now boasting a franchise-record payroll, the Diamondbacks enjoyed an exceedingly successful offseason by securing several key signings. These include Eduardo Rodriguez, Jordan Montgomery, Randal Grichuk, Joc Pederson, and Lourdes Gurriel Jr.

It could easily be argued that the D-backs possess the best starting pitching rotation in the National League, led by their Opening Day starter Zac Gallen.

Commenting on the offseason spending spree, Zac Gallen expressed appreciation for the D-backs front office for fulfilling their duties.

Gallen stated, “It’s gratifying in both senses…we went out and did our job…and they held up their end of the bargain…we gotta go out and do our job and hold up our end of the bargain,” per Jake Oliver at Inside the Diamondbacks.

Tonight, at 7:10 PM, Gallen will take the mound against the Colorado Rockies to kick off Arizona’s 2024 campaign in front of the home crowd at Chase Field.
