Joanna Jedrzejczyk Newest Inductee Into UFC Hall Of Fame

The promotion announced that former UFC champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk will join the UFC Hall of Fame.

Jedrzejczyk will make history as she becomes the first strawweight and the second female to enshrined. She joins the Modern wing during the June 27 celebration in Las Vegas.

With 10 UFC wins to her credit, Jedrzejczyk becomes the 13th member of the Modern wing. The category is for athletes who turned pro on or after 2000, are at least 35 years old and been retired for a year or more.

“Joanna Jedrzejczyk is one of the greatest athletes in combat sports history,” UFC CEO Dana White said. “Joanna is an amazing person who has been an incredible champion, ambassador, and role model for women’s MMA.

“She fought the best of the best in her division and never backed down from an opponent. Joanna is one of the toughest athletes we’ve ever seen, and it will be an honor to induct her into the UFC Hall of Fame this summer during International Fight Week.”

Joanna Jedrzejczyk Continues To Make History

In 2015 at UFC 185, Jedrzejczyk became the first Polish-born champion and first female European champion when she won the strawweight title. She would defend the belt five times over the next two years.

Following a battle with Zhang Weili at UFC 248 in 2020, Jedrzejczyk announced her retirement.

The UFC Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will stream live on UFC Fight Pass from the T-Mobile Arena. It will be part of the 12th Annual UFC International Fight Week.
