UFC Rankings Report: Edson Barboza Climbs Towards The Top 10, Bobby Green Gets late Reward For Main Event Win
Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

As always, the latest action on offer inside the Octagon has seen some climb the ladder towards contention and others fall away.

And in the aftermath of UFC Fight Night: Sodiq Yusuff vs. Edson Barboza, MMA News has you covered with this week's updates to the official UFC rankings.

Men's Pound-For-Pound: No changes.

Women’s Pound-for-Pound: No changes.

Women’s Strawweight: No changes.

Women’s Flyweight: In Saturday's co-main event, Viviane Araújo made a much-needed return to winning ways following consecutive losses at the hands of Alexa Grasso and Amanda Ribas. The Brazilian outpointed her compatriot Jennifer Maia via unanimous decision.

With that, "Vivi" has climbed into the top 10 courtesy of a two-place rise to #9. Former title challenger Maia, meanwhile, has dropped two positions to occupy her victorious opponent's previous seat of #11.

Women's Bantamweight: No changes.

Flyweight: No changes.

Bantamweight: One of the biggest winners at the recent Apex-held event was Jonathan Martinez, who continued his strong run of performances with yet another TKO via leg kicks. The victory, which came over the highly regarded Adrian Yañez, marked his sixth in a row.

As a result, Martinez has surged up the ladder by two spots, now sitting just one place outside the top 10. His rise has caused one-spot drops for both Umar Nurmagomedov (#12) and Ricky Simón (#13).

After suffering a second straight loss, Yañez finds himself just one position away from falling out of the rankings entirely. Chris Gutiérrez, who was victorious over Alatenheili on Saturday's preliminary card, has replaced Yañez at #14.

Featherweight: The standout performer this past weekend came in the form of veteran Edson Barboza, who mounted a monumental comeback to outpoint Sodiq Yusuff. The result has seen the Brazilian fan favorite climb two positions to #11. "Super Sodiq" (#12) and Dan Ige (#13) have both fallen one spot each.

Further down the ladder, Lerone Murphy (#14) has swapped places with Alex Caceres (#15).

Lightweight: Despite taking place last weekend, the results from the October 7 UFC Fight Night are still causing some shuffles. That's owing to the main event result, which saw Bobby Green stop Grant Dawson in just 33 seconds.

Having already jumped into the top 15, "King" (#12) has received a further boost by leapfrogging Renato Moicano (#13) in the latest update. Dawson, meanwhile, has dropped out of the top 15 completely, with the always entertaining Drew Dober making his return at #15.

Welterweight: No changes.

Middleweight: No changes.

Light Heavyweight: No changes.

Heavyweight: No changes.
