Cole Custer makes legendary change to social media profile picture after Xfinity Series Championship
? Alex Gould / USA TODAY NETWORK

Cole Custer captured the NASCAR Xfinity Series title on Saturday, and the captured the attention of the world on X (formerly known as Twitter) afterwards.

Over the last couple of seasons, Custer has developed the moniker “Stone Cold” Cole Custer. Of course, it’s a reference to the legendary “Stone Cold” Steve Austin of professional wrestling fame, and it also rolls off the tongue pretty well for the driver.

Well, Custer lived up to his nickname while celebrating his championship victory, and forever immortalized the moment with his new profile picture on X. Check it out below, as Custer channels his inner Steve Austin following his title win.

It doesn’t get much better than that when it comes to championship victories. We’ve seen drivers drunk following wins and everything in between, but Custer is the first to pull off the Steve Austin, and then take it to social media. That’s pretty sweet.

Now, what will Custer do if we wins another title? It remains to be seen, but he’ll have a good shot at it in 2024. He’s returning to Stewart-Haas Racing in the Xfinity Series, and Custer will be ready to defend his crown throughout the season.

Regardless, Cole Custer will enjoy this one, as it’s the biggest accomplishment of his career thus far. The future is bright for the Stewart-Haas Racing wheelman.

More on Cole Custer, 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series title

Compared to the show we got Friday night in the Craftsman Truck Series, this was a great race. We had clean, aggressive racing throughout the field. The setup on these Xfinity cars is just perfect right now, great racing all season long.

At times, it looked like John Hunter Nemechek would win. Sam Mayer had some good runs. Justin Allgaier had an early mistake and then had to move up through the field over the course of the race. Allgaier finished P3, Mayer P5, and Nemechek was P28 after a final lap crash.

Looking back on this season, it was a good one in the Xfinity Series. Nemechek had seven wins on the year, but couldn’t close the deal. You can’t be upset about it, but in the moment we’re sure Nemechek and his team are feeling down.

Despite having perhaps the quietest playoff run out of the Championship 4, Cole Custer gets the job done. He is the 2023 Xfinity Series champion.
