Kings’ Keegan Murray Reveals What De’Aaron Fox Is Like As A Leader
Sergio Estrada-USA TODAY Sports

During an interview with NBA reporter Mark Medina of Sportskeeda, Sacramento Kings shooting guard Keegan Murray revealed what star point guard De’Aaron Fox is like as a leader.

“I’ve only been here for a year or so. But compared to last year, I feel like he’s become a lot more outspoken and being more involved with telling us what is on his mind,” Murray said about Fox. “I talk to him in huddles and talk to him on the court. It’s been cool to see his progression.”

Murray and Fox helped the Kings win 48 games last season. Sacramento made the playoffs for the first time since 2006.

Even though the Kings lost to the Golden State Warriors in the first round in seven games, the team has a bright future with Fox, Murray and Domantas Sabonis leading the way.

“He talks stuff to me every day,” Murray said about Fox. “We’re both really competitive with each other. That’s a good dynamic to have. That helped a lot during the offseason. It’s day-to-day, pushing my buttons to get me going and things like that. It’s like a big-brother, little-brother relationship. It’s fun to be around him.”

Fox appeared in 73 games for the Kings last season. He averaged 25.0 points, 4.2 rebounds and 6.1 assists. The lefty made his first All-Star and the All-NBA Third Team.

Meanwhile, Murray put up 12.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game in 80 games for the Kings. He made the All-Rookie First Team.
