Lindsay Lohan divulges her son's surprising NBA godparents

Lindsay Lohan rose to fame with her role in "The Parent Trap." Now her son's godfather is a master of eluding a defensive trap.

In an appearance on "The Tonight Show," actress Lohan revealed that her son Luai has some famous godparents: Stephen and Ayesha Curry.

Lohan met Ayesha Curry through restaurateur Michael Mina, her partner in San Francisco restaurant International Smoke.

Mina insisted that Lohan and Ayesha meet, and they "clicked right off the bat." Not only is Ayesha her son's godmother, she's also in Lohan's new Netflix romantic comedy, "Irish Wish," playing her best friend.

The friendship with Lohan seems to be good for Stephen's play on the court. After he reconnected with the former teen star as she was sitting courtside before a game against the Atlanta Hawks, Curry scored 60 points.

He was the oldest player to hit 60 points besides a 37-year-old Kobe Bryant, in his final NBA game.

We'll see if the new film jump-starts Ayesha's acting career, or if Stephen starts leaving courtside seats for Lohan for good luck, especially for games on (freaky) Fridays.

But the improbable relationship seems to be working for both parties. And if Luai Lohan ever needs help with his jump shot, he couldn't have a better godfather to guide him.
