Milwaukee Bucks vs. Los Angeles Clippers odds and best bet

The Clippers are right at the .500 mark. They just made a trade to get better with the addition of guard Norm Powell and forward Robert Covington in exchange for a bunch of spare parts. In short, it does not appear that they are giving up on this season just yet.  Powell is an L.A. guy too, so he is probably thrilled to get away from the sinking ship that is Portland right now. 

The Bucks do not look like they are going to make a deal at the deadline to improve their chances of repeating. As long as they have a healthy Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday, they know they can compete. 

The Bucks played Saturday night, in Portland of all places, as they started a West Coast road trip. They had no trouble beating the new-look Blazers, winning by 29 points. They flexed some depth too with center Bobby Portis leading the way with 30 points. He even took the most shots, which is not going to happen often. 

We nailed it Saturday with Phoenix getting the easy win at Washington. On Sunday night we have a chance to finish the week on a 3-0 run. Hope you have been following.

I am not generally looking to back teams in back-to-back situations, especially when their opponent has been resting. Milwaukee is 4-5 SU and 2-7 ATS when playing with no rest this season. Thankfully the Bucks did not have to press their starters too much last night in the easy win. 

This pick is more of a fade of the Clippers. The move they made is a good one. Powell gives them instant offense, and Covington can be a versatile, useful player. Those guys with a healthy Paul George could be a very interesting trio. George is still out, though, and they are going to need a little bit of time to mesh with their new teammates, whereas Milwaukee has great continuity and talent. The Clippers don't have anyone they can really expect to bother Giannis Sunday night either. That opens up everything for the Bucks. 

L.A. will fight hard but come up short. The one thing I give this group credit for is that they are not getting pushed around. They have developed a toughness, and those new guys should fit into that.
