After an NFL playoff weekend, ending with that dramatic Buffalo loss (or Kansas City win, depending on how you bet it), it is hard to remember what happened on Friday. To recap, we went 2-2 but hit on our two better payoffs so it was some nice profit for the day overall. The key was that double-double that Jonas Valanciunas posted in a loss. That is a market to keep our eye on (there are 13 players averaging over 10 rebounds per game).
Today we have eight games on the NBA schedule but only one to really get excited about with Boston heading into Dallas to face Luka Doncic and the Mavs. Kristaps Porzingis might be up for this one against a former team.
Results to Date: 67-118, -221.1 Units (points for honesty)
Immanuel Quickley Over 20.5 Points (+125) Alt Line
Quickley has been a little quiet of late. However, in just his second game with Toronto after the trade he ripped up Memphis for 26 points on the road. That was a game in which Ja Morant and Marcus Smart both played too. He will not have as tough a defensive responsibility this evening and that frees him up to concentrate even more on his offense. Plus the Grizzlies are not going to be defending him any better with those absences.
Dereck Lively II Over 8.5 Rebounds (+115) Alt Line
Dallas is hosting Boston tonight and Lively is going to be critical to staying in the game. Since coming back from missing a few games due to injury he has been very strong on the boards with 11 and 12 rebounds respectively in the last couple of games. The rookie's production keeps going up each month too.
Devin Booker Over 2.5 Made Threes (+105)
Booker is one of the best scorers in the NBA and he has had some big games lately, so this prop is never really a stretch. I am emboldened by the fact that he has been very good against the Bulls of late. Over his last four games against Chicago, he has not scored less than 28 points against Chicago and in three of those four games, he made at least five shots from deep. He should get good looks tonight.
Dejounte Murray More Assists Than Domantas Sabonis (+124)
For starters, you know Sabonis is one of my favorites so this one is a little tough. Nevertheless, with no Trae Young tonight for Atlanta, the burden falls on Murray. Last season, in games where Young was absent he averaged over eight assists, which is just a little more than Sabonis is averaging this season. Yes, I know that the big man is on a heater, that is why this one hurts a little.
