San Antonio Spurs Make 2 Roster Moves
USA TODAY Sports

On Saturday evening, the San Antonio Spurs lost to the Memphis Grizzlies (at home) by a score of 120-108.

The Spurs are now 3-10 in their first 13 games and are in the middle of an eight-game losing streak.

On Sunday, the team announced that they had made two roster moves by assigning two players to the G League.

Via The Austin Spurs: "Sidy Cissoko and Blake Wesley have been assigned to the Austin Spurs and will be available for tonight’s game!"

Wesley was the 25th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft and is in his second year with the Spurs.

The former Notre Dame star is averaging 1.8 points per contest while shooting 37.5% from the field in four games.

Meanwhile, Cissoko was the 44th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft and has yet to make his debut.

He has played in one G League game (this season) and had 11 points, six rebounds, four assists and one block while shooting 1/3 from the field and 2/5 from the three-point range.

As for the Spurs, they are the 15th seed in the Western Conference and will play their next game on Monday evening when they host James Harden and the Los Angeles Clippers in Texas.

Last season, they were the 15th seed with a 22-60 record and missed the NBA playoffs for the fourth straight year.

That said, the Spurs are led by legendary head coach Gregg Popovich and have rookie Victor Wembanyama, who was the first pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.
