The Cleveland Browns placed cornerback Greedy Williams on injured reserve on September 9th with a hamstring injury. This week, he is eligible to return from the IR after four weeks. Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting that the Browns will not activate Williams and that he will not play in week 5 vs. the Los Angeles Chargers.

Greedy Williams was selected in the second round out of LSU by the Cleveland Browns in 2019. Over the past four years, Williams has dealt with a number of injuries that have limited his availability. He missed four games in his rookie season with a hamstring injury as well as the entire 2020 season with a shoulder injury. He has appeared in 28 games for the Cleveland Browns and has started at cornerback in 20 of those games.
