Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes trolls Bills after first road playoff win

The biggest talking point going into Sunday's Kansas City Chiefs-Buffalo Bills divisional-round game was the fact Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had never played a true road playoff game in his NFL career. That was consistently brought up, with Bills players – specifically right tackle Dion Dawkins – telling him "good luck" regarding the environment in Buffalo.

That talk did not go unnoticed and Mahomes took advantage of the opportunity to troll those Bills players following the Chiefs' 27-24 win to advance to the AFC Championship game.

Mahomes posted a picture on Instagram of him celebrating on Sunday with the caption, "Good luck."

Mahomes certainly did not need any added motivation to try and win Sunday's game, but poking the bear going into the game seemed like an odd strategy by the Bills. Mahomes has not only played plenty of games in bad conditions, hostile environments and on the biggest stages during his career, he is also the best quarterback in football and a two-time Super Bowl champion. It does not matter the venue, he is capable of beating anybody on any given Sunday.

At Highmark Stadium, Mahomes completed 17-of-23 passes for 215 yards (9.3 yards per attempt), two touchdowns and zero interceptions.

He and the Chiefs have reached the AFC Championship Game in each of his first six seasons as the team's starting quarterback. Kansas City will play the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday for a chance to earn its fourth Super Bowl appearance in the Mahomes era.
