Cowboys star Micah Parsons wants Aaron Donald jersey for his 'man cave'

Cowboys star outside linebacker Micah Parsons wants Aaron Donald to pass the torch to him someday as the NFL's best defensive player. He'd also like a souvenir of the Rams' star defensive tackle.

"I'm a huge fan of his," Parsons said. "I hope I can get his jersey in my man cave one day."

Parsons is starting to draw comparisons to Donald because they share similar roles as defensive wrecking balls.

In two seasons, Parsons has established himself as a star. In 2021, he made First-Team All-Pro as a rookie and was named the first unanimous Defensive Rookie of the Year. He also finished second in the Defensive Player of the Year voting behind T.J. Watt.

Not a bad start, but he still has a long way to go before matching Donald's achievements. Donald has made First-Team All-Pro seven times in his first eight seasons, won Defensive Player of the Year three times, and a Super Bowl.

"I can't do what he does," Parsons said. "He's doing all of this at almost 300 pounds. I mean, golly, what do you do?"

Despite the differences, he hopes to make an impression in front of his idol and maybe get a jersey from him. Perhaps that moment will come Sunday after the Cowboys play the Rams in Los Angeles.
