An Underrated Gem in 2022

After the 2022 NFL Draft there has been talks about Treylon Burks taking the lead dog role in a thin receiving room. However, I think that everyone is truly underestimating how magnificent Robert Woods can be for the Tennesse offense. Woods’s past few years in the NFL have been stellar from a fantasy perspective. Here are some stats to show how reliable he can actually be:

2020 (LA Rams) – Finished as the WR 13 in PPR/ 90 catches/ 1,091 Total Yards/ 8 Total Touchdowns

2019 (LA Rams)- Finished as the WR 14 in PPR/ 90 catches/ 1,249 Total Yards/ 3 Total Touchdowns

2018 (LA Rams)- Finished as the WR 11 in PPR/ 86 Catches/ 1,376 Total Yards/ 7 Total Touchdowns

Average Draft Position

In an Offense much similar to the Rams with the Titans relying on a ton of play action passes Woods fits right into the mold of a veteran receiver who understands the concepts of the big plays that come with play action passes. Therefore, I expect him to be the WR 1 Leading the Titans into 2022. Robert Woods is currently being drafted around the beginning to the later part of the 9th round as the WR 38.

A Valuable Impact

Regardless of what you think about Robert Wood’s current situation, there’s no denying the fact that he can be as reliable as they come in fantasy. Treylon Burks has defiantly shadowed and gloomed Robert Woods from an opportunistic perspective, but with the experience of Woods in a similar offensive, there’s no doubt in my mind that Robert Woods will be a very fantasy relevant WR.
