Former Tennessee Vols standout named to first career Pro Bowl
Junfu Han / USA TODAY NETWORK

Former Tennessee Vols linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin was named to his first career NFL Pro Bowl this week.

Reeves-Maybin, who is a special teams ace for the Detroit Lions, was named to the Pro Bowl as one of league's special teams selections.

The former Vol was named the NFC special teams player of the week in early December for his performance in a win against the New Orleans Saints.

Reeves-Maybin has also played a key role on fake punts for the Lions this season.

In Week One, it was Reeves-Maybin who picked up a first down with his legs on a fake punt by the Lions in their win against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Last weekend, against the Dallas Cowboys, Reeves-Maybin passed for a first down on a fake punt.
