Jason Kelce discusses 'drawbacks' of Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift relationship

Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce became a three-time Super Bowl champion via his club's 25-22 overtime win over the San Francisco 49ers this past Sunday night despite any alleged distractions linked with his dating entertainment superstar Taylor Swift.

Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, Travis' brother, revealed during a recent appearance on "The Big Podcast with Shaq" that the league's most-discussed relationship of the 2023 season produced unique challenges for the Kansas City starter.

"It's crazy what it opens up, opportunity-wise," Jason explained, as shared by TMZ Sports and Paulina Dedaj of Fox News Digital. "It’s crazy to feel how much joy you bring people, or how much you affect people’s daily lives. It has its drawbacks for sure, and Travis knows more than I do."

Back in the fall, Jason questioned why paparazzi members were taking pictures of Travis performing everyday tasks such as fueling his car before a Chiefs game. It turns out Travis had bigger things to worry about, such as obsessed Swift fans essentially forcing him to find a new home.

"He had to completely move out of his house," Jason said about Travis. "People were just staying by his house."

Jason's update provided clarity on why some within the Chiefs seemingly had concerns about Travis becoming one of the most recognized faces of the fall, particularly as Kansas City went from 6-1 to 9-6. While Travis spent at least a portion of the season trying to get right after an injury prevented him from playing in Week 1, he also learned that changing homes wouldn't stop at least one "Swiftie" from finding him.

"The first day he moved into the new house, in a gated community, somebody knocks on the back window of the house," Jason recalled.

Travis indicated shortly after Sunday's victory that he will play at least one more season because he wants a Super Bowl three-peat with the Chiefs. Assuming he and Swift remain close through the summer, his family could spend another campaign under a spotlight they knew little about 12 months ago.

"The Taylor world and the pop culture world, that's a whole different level," Jason added. "It's a new demographic that wasn't there before."
