Lions ticket prices more than double any other divisional round game

After winning their first playoff game in more than 30 years, the Detroit Lions have another home playoff game on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If you want to see that game in person, though, it is going to cost you a significant amount of money.

A quick look on StubHub on Tuesday evening shows that the cheapest tickets for Sunday's game in Detroit are in the $500 range just to get yourself inside Ford Field in the worst seats. If you want to sit in the lower level, it will cost a minimum of $590 as of Tuesday night.

It is a similar story on Vivid Seats where the cheapest ticket is $490 (before fees) and SeatGeek where the cheapest is $502.

Just to put that into perspective, those prices are more than double what any of the other divisional games are going for this weekend.

In Buffalo for the highly anticipated Josh Allen-Patrick Mahomes showdown, you can get in for as low as $139.

The cheapest seats to the San Francisco 49ers-Green Bay Packers game in Santa Clara are around $200, while you can see the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens for as low as $110.

Lions fans have remained fiercely loyal throughout decades of bad football and finally have a team worthy of celebrating and being excited about. That is clear in the demand for tickets.

If the Lions beat Tampa Bay on Sunday they will reach the NFC Championship game for the first time since the 1991 season. There also remains a possibility that the game could be at home if the Packers beat the 49ers this weekend.

Given how expensive ticket prices are for the divisional round, they would almost certainly go even higher for a potential Conference Championship game.
