Raiders' Amik Robertson puts foot in his mouth after embarrassing loss to Chiefs
Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

The Kansas City Chiefs - Las Vegas Raiders rivalry is a special one, but one Raiders player said something after the game that just didn't make much sense. We all know that these two teams are going to talk trash to one another; that's what rivalries are, but to do it after the game after you lost is crazy, to be honest.

Having confidence in yourself is fine, but having irrational confidence is bad. You can't just say something crazy like Amik Robertson did because then it doesn't look good.

"We have lost a couple of them this season, but for me, this one hurts a little bit because I know we are better than that team," Robertson said in the locker room after the game. "I know we have more dawgs; I know we are better than that team. I'm just pissed off we couldn't get the win. We put the work in. We know we are better than that team."

The Chiefs are 10-1 against the Raiders in the Patrick Mahomes era and are 3-18 against the Chiefs in the Andy Reid era. So, I don't think they have ever really been better than what used to be their biggest rival. Sure, history is history, and not this season, but even this season, it's evident the Chefs are better.

The record says so; the way they were down 14 points and then won by 14 says so, too. The Chefs outplayed them in every facet, whether it be offense, defense, or special teams. So, I wouldn't say the Raiders are the better team, and I'm sure most fans of the Raiders or Chiefs would agree.

That's a pretty crazy thing to say.
