Ravens land Lamar Jackson's potential replacement in latest mock draft

It seems like the Ravens may have Lamar Jackson as their quarterback in 2023 after signing WR Odell Beckham Jr. to a one-year deal. However, beyond that is still unknown, so NFL analyst Charles Davis has them going QB in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Baltimore selects Tennessee QB Hendon Hooker with pick No. 22 in Davis' latest mock draft.

"Eric DeCosta recently told us all that Baltimore could very well select a QB in this year's draft. I'm taking the general manager at his word, as the Ravens hedge their bets with the uncertainty surrounding Lamar Jackson," Davis writes.

Hooker has been impressive over the past two seasons, throwing for 6,080 yards, 58 touchdowns and just five interceptions. He also added 1,050 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground during the span.

He certainly fits the Ravens' offensive scheme but some may feel it is a reach as he ranks as Pro Football Focus' No. 82 overall prospect on its big board coupled with the fact that he is a 25-year-old rookie coming off a torn ACL.

However, if Baltimore isn't confident in Jackson returning in 2024, Hooker seems to be the best option at pick No. 22 as the other top quarterbacks would have been taken.

Plan A should still be signing Jackson to a long-term contract, but if all hope is lost, Plan B may be Hooker.
