Stetson Bennett continuing to make progress in NFL return
USA TODAY Sports

Stetson Bennett has returned to the NFL after missing his entire rookie season due to undisclosed personal reasons, and the Los Angeles Rams quarterback is continuing to make significant headway.

Bennett recently spent time training in Dallas with the same people who work with star Kansas City Chiefs signal-caller Patrick Mahomes, and was in attendance for the start of the Rams offseason program.

He was seen in a video the Rams posted to their social media earlier in the week at the 43-second mark, spotted alongside linebacker Christian Rozeboom.

This is another positive sign for Bennett, marking the first time he has been sighted at the team facility since he was placed on the NFI list in September.

The 26-year-old Georgia product was originally selected by the Rams in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft with the 128th overall pick.

Rams general manager Les Snead indicated when he met with the media in late March that Bennett had been in touch with Rams quarterback coach Dave Ragone while taking the initial steps in rejoining the team.

"What we've done is, Dave Ragone, our new quarterback coach, had a relationship with Stetson from last year's draft, being in Atlanta, so I know Dave's step one was him connecting with Stetson and rekindling their relationship," Snead said at the NFL Annual Meeting.

Bennett finished out last preseason with the Rams 30-for-62 passing with 307 yards, 2 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.

It will be interesting to watch how Bennett continues to develop and is his long-term future is indeed with the Rams, but there is no question that he's on a positive track.
