Watch: Aaron Rodgers showing up on first day of Jets’ voluntary workouts indicates he is very close to 100% fitness after setback from Achilles injury

Monday was a special day for the New York Jets fans. Georgia tight end Brock Bowers came for a visit, then witnessed the release of the new look jersey and logo, but most importantly, Aaron Rodgers walked into the facility on his two feet and with a massive smile.

From defending himself against the onslaught of negative comments about his views on the Sandy Hook shootings to spewing up a conspiracy theory about Joe Biden being a body double, the 40-year-old veteran quarterback has had a lot on his plate in the last few weeks.

However, when Rodgers showed up for the Jets’ voluntary training session, he appeared to be in great shape. The Jets official Twitter account first shared the video of the four-time NFL MVP walking into the facility, aiming to attack the new season

Pat McAfee reacted to Aaron Rodgers turning up for Jets practice

A healthy Aaron Rodgers is big news for the Jets. The hype surrounding his move from the Green Bay Packers last season indicated that the Big Apple faithful wanted a Super Bowl run. However, that dream broke into a billion pieces as he tore his Achilles on opening day.

The Jets’ season fell apart under Zach Wilson, despite possessing one of the meanest defenses in the league. For the moment, it seems Wilson will not be going anywhere, and the Jets are willing to keep him in New York.

Rodgers without a doubt will be the starting quarterback, and Pat McAfee was jubilant when he saw the 10-time Pro Bowler walking up the porch at the Jets facility.

Aaron Rodgers is back to training with the New York Jets. He came bopping in day 1 of the Voluntary OTAs with his hooga hat on. Pat McAfee shouted during Monday’s segment of ESPN’s Pat McAfee Show.

Rodgers was doing everything in his power to make an unprecedented recovery last season. He wanted to play for the Jets as early as the first round of the playoffs, which never happened.

Head coach Robert Saleh revealed that if the veteran managed to convince the doctors that he was fit to play, then he would have played. However, there’s still no evidence of how far along he was in his rehab.

That question remains, even after Rodgers plays golf or goes on trips with Jordan Poyer and his family. The prospect of him playing an entire season must excite the gang. After all, he is one of the best to do it.
