What is causing the Cam Newton sweepstakes to move so slowly?

Former Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has yet to find a home, and it's not hard to see why he's still available.

Newton has dealt with many injuries over his nine-year NFL career, and that's reportedly one of the biggest thing holding up his market.

"The biggest impediment for Cam continues to be the inability to give him a normal physical, given his foot, shoulder and ankle issues," Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio said in his Sunday mailbag.

Obviously, Newton wouldn't come at a high cost for any team looking to potentially sign him, but with the coronavirus sweeping the nation, it's understandable to see why teams are holding off at the moment.

Besides, we don't even know if there will be a 2020 season come September with all professional leagues currently on hold.
