Just for some perspective, that is DOUBLE the number diamonds the Tampa Bay Lightning had on their 2021 Stanley Cup rings (338), which were only 14 carats of gemstones.
The 2022 title was Colorado's third Stanley Cup since the franchise relocated to Denver in the mid-1990s and its first in 20 years.
The Avalanche open their title defense and raise their Stanley Cup banner on Wednesday night at home against the Chicago Blackhawks. They enter the season as one of the top favorites to win the Stanley Cup again.
